Artist Feature: ARIEL
"She's got a really strong voice. You don't really hear that too much either. Not anymore. It's a lost art."
Born Ariel Michelle Finch in Los Angeles, the singer, dancer, songwriter, and record producer grew up surrounded by music with a bass playing father, a dancer turned lawyer as a mom, and an aunt who is a gospel singer. Prior to her music career, ARIEL sang in school choirs, wrote songs and took dance classes. Wanting to be a singer her entire life, she soon began recording and producing. Her first published work was “Bahamas” as co-writer on this Jordan Trickett record where she also provides vocals. ARIEL describes singing as her first love and as what she’s always known, “There has never been a time in my life when I haven’t been singing. "
A graduate from Howard, ARIEL is preparing to embark on a long-awaited journey. She has opened her song-book for the world to enjoy and meditate. While formally considered a pop/R&B artist, ARIEL does not box herself into one genre, and prefers to let the music of her mind and heart lead her where it may. Green Tea Studios of LA says, "She's got a really strong voice. You don't really hear that too much either. Not anymore. It's a lost art."
ARIEL’s debut EP "Exhibition A" is simply that; an exhibition – an exhibition of her art and persona over the last three and a half years. With a different story and different sound on each of its five songs, Exhibition A is designed to portray her diverse musical taste, life stories, and pen strokes.
“When I sing and create the music, I hope to generate emotional and physical feelings so that you can feel the power I feel.”
