Artist: Sun Child
Sun Child releases 'Floating', a song inspired by the feeling of not fitting in or feeling like you belong. "It was written during a time of introspection - not enjoying what I was doing with my life and feeling alone amongst the people I was around" and "filling the void with temporary pleasures".
Sun Child is a musical project started by singer songwriter Brooke Garwood from Jacksonville Beach, Florida. What started as a solo project is now known as an indie folk ensemble, playing shows around Jacksonville as well as touring the Southeast. Garwood's writing inspiration comes from the beauty of her surroundings as well as her studies as a mental health professional. Lyrically, she pulls from personal and universal experiences, creating a vulnerable and relatable space in song. 'Floating' is Sun Child's first release of the year.
