My Top 10 Favorite Lip Syncs from RuPaul's Drag Race

In honor of the fifteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race starting tonight, I am taking a look back at my favorite lip syncs from the iconic show. Will Ru agree...?

Without further ado, presenting: My Top 10 Favorite Lip Syncs for Your Life and Legacy!

Stills from RuPaul's Drag Race and All Stars; Alyssa Edwards and Tatiana Shut up and Drive; Katya and Sasha Velour rose petals

10. - Ginger Minj vs. Jaidynn Diore Fierce - I Think We're Alone Now

Featuring Tempus Dujour and Sasha Belle

From Season 7, Episode 8, "Conjoined Queens". ONE OF THE FUNNIEST LIP SYNCS OF ALL TIME.

Winner: Ginger Minj

Who Should've Won: Ginger Minj

9. Alaska Thunderfuck vs. Katya Zamolodchikova - Cherry Bomb

From All Stars 2, Episode 6, "Drag Fish Tank". How no one commented on that Ronald McDonald looking outfit Alaska had on I will never know. How did she even make the top two with that look? Okay, her commercial was hilarious, I give her that maxi challenge win. But Katya shined in the number. Why didn't she win? Is it because Alaska took out an American flag? Maybe Katya needed to up her prop game. I call BS. She used her leg as a guitar for crying out loud! No sense it makes.

Winner: Alaska

Who Should've Won: Katya

(That doesn't just go for the lip sync...that goes for the whole season!)

8. Alyssa Edwards vs. Tatianna - Shut Up and Drive

From All Stars 2, Episode 5, "Revenge of the Queens". An iconic lip sync and fan favorite. After Alyssa and Tatianna both were eliminated early on, both queens had a chance to fight for a spot back in the competition. And fight they did! With adorable, matching outfits and stellar dance moves, they both earned a well deserved place back in the race!

Winner: Tie!

Who Should've Won: Tie!

7. Alyssa Edwards vs. Detox - Tell It To My Heart

From All Stars 2, Episode 3 "HERstory of the World". Although "Shut Up and Drive" is a fan favorite lip sync from All Stars 2 and from Alyssa, I think "Tell It To My Heart" is underrated! It did not end in a tie, but I think Detox shined just as much as Alyssa in this battle. The runway theme was "The Future of Drag". Detox looked like a sexy robot, covered head to toe in silver, while Alyssa looked like...herself in twenty years. Both of them did a great job, but I think it was Alyssa's dancing abilities that edged her over the top. And I'm glad they did, because Detox would've sent Katya home and...we couldn't have that!

Winner: Alyssa

Who Should've Won: Alyssa

6. Barbie Girl - Silky Nutmeg Ganache vs...Silky Nutmeg Ganache

From All Stars 6, Episode 10 "Rudemption Lip-Sync Smackdown". The only queen to ever lip sync against herself. I have mad respect for Silky, especially after this performance. She's a professional. And this lip sync is hilarious, clever and you can tell how much work and preparation she put into it and all the lip syncs in that episode.

Winner: Silky

Who Should've Won: Silky

5. Jinkx Monsoon vs. Detox - Malambo No. 1

From Season 5, Episode 11 "Sugar Ball". Thank god she's not wearing that hoopskirt! Jinkx is my favorite queen of all time and Malambo was her only lip sync of Season 5 before she took home the crown. She's sexy, cute and funny. The perfect combination.

Winner: Jinkx

Who Should've Won: Jinkx

4. Ra'Jah O'Hara vs. Brooke Lynn Hytes - Miss You Much

From All Stars 6, Episode 2 "The Blue Ball" Ra'Jah's split? I mean come on!

Winner: Tie!

Who Should've Won: Tie!

3. Shangela vs. Ben Delacreme - I Kissed a Girl

From All Stars 3, Episode 4 "All Stars Snatch Game". The chemistry between these two is everything! Both queens were on track to winning that season and this lip sync proves they were and still are forces to be reckoned with. Alas, Dela...I think we all remember where we were when Ben Delachrist sent herself home. Savior of Morgan and the drag queens...a moment of silence.

Still from RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 3; Bendelacreme and Shangela

Winner: Tie!

Who Should've Won: Tie!

2. Adore Delano vs. Trinity K. Bonet - Vibeology

From Season 6, Episode 9 "Queens of Talk". Trinity was no doubt the lip sync assassin of Season 6. But this was the first she did not win and Adore's first lip sync altogether. The chemistry between these two was fire. Guest judge Paula Abdul was impressed. It was one of those sexy numbers where the two fed off each other's energy. Like a PG-13 version of Raja and Carmen Carrera's "Straight Up" lip sync from Season 3...you know what Alexis Mateo says about that one...

Winner: Adore

Who Should've Won: Adore

Honorable Mention - Monét X Change vs. Dusty Ray Bottoms - Pound the Alarm

From Season 10, Episode 4 "The Last Ball on Earth". Should have been a double shantay. Plus, we got an ICONIC look from RuPaul in this episode.

Winner: Monét

Who Should've Won: Tie

1. Sasha Velour vs. Shea Couleé - So Emotional

From Season 9, Episode 14 "Grand Finale". I am going to be very controversial with my opinions about this one. Shea should've won the whole season OR it should have been a tie between her and Sasha. Every time Sasha shined in Season 9, up until the finale Lip Sync Extravaganza, in my opinion, was thanks to partnering with Shea. They won two challenges together as a team. However, Shea had moments where she stood out WITHOUT Sasha (the Kardashian Ru-sical, for example, earned her a solo win). Although "So Emotional" was clearly a win for Sasha, and a phenomenal, beautiful and (dare I say) emotional lip sync at that, judging an entire season based on one (or two) lip syncs alone is not fair and it's time they retire that finale format. Season 9 was the first to do it and they have kept it alive ever since.

Another example of the extravaganza not working is when Jinkx Monsoon won All Stars 7. She is an incredible performer but Monet won that final lip sync to me. It felt like a lackluster win for Jinkx who was slaying the whole season and should've won based on her multiple challenge wins. Imagine having Bianca del Rio up for a finale lip sync. That might have landed Adore the crown.

At the end of the day, however, as far as lip syncs go, "So Emotional" was iconic and I still cry every time I watch it.

Winner: Sasha

Who Should've Won: Sasha...
