The Best Summer Slasher Films
It's Summerween, the annual holiday celebrated in the show "Gravity Falls", and today I'm recommending some iconic summer horror films for the best spooky vibes.
1. Friday the 13th
Starting off our list, we have the iconic summer flick from 1980. Director Sean S. Cunningham was actually prompted by the success of John Carpenter's "Halloween" to sell "Friday the 13th".

2. X
"X" has it all. 70s vibes, Kid Cudi and the best horror movie scream ever (in my opinion) from Miss. Jenna Ortega! Although I like "Pearl" a little better, "X" definitely has more of the Summerween aesthetic.
3. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
And here we have a film that "X" totally pulled from. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is the perfect campy horror film and it's the first one that set me on my horror loving journey.
4. Jaws
You can't think summer horror without "Jaws."

5. I Know What You Did Last Summer
Closing off our list is this classic slasher film from 1997. "I Know What You Did Last Summer" drew inspiration from the urban legend known as "The Hook" and the 1980s slasher films "Prom Night "(1980) and "The House on Sorority Row" (1982). Plus it has husband and wife duo Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
